only thing i would say, is it is quite possible for the dog to jump off or fall off those slabs and hang himself, would be much better for a dog on chain to have a piece of flat ground. i.m.o

Good point about the chain, ill let them know, but ti think the dog stands higher than the plinth so no danger if he does. The dog gets walked for an hour a day round the neghbouring farm! hes a stunner imo, about 22" an 60 lb.

even if he is higher than the plinth, if he is at the end of that chain and fell it would be possible for him to hang himself, i think it would be a good idea to have a chat with them and at least bring it to their attention, then if they choose to do something about it or not! then thats up to them! great looking dog though.
only raising the point, because of some gypsies i knew had a jack Russel that hanged itself.

personally, i think its cruel if a dog is condemned to a life on a chain, but if the owners take time to walk the dog and inter-act with the dog then i can't see a problem with it, but suspect 99% of chained guard dogs never get taken off their chains!

if you have two of them roaming free with good kennel even better, but costs more and in this day and age with burglar's rights of passage! you would be treading hot water!

this is as you could argue u were not sure he would bite. but if you just had a sign saying beware of dog they could say u new this dog would bite. it is a scetchy law really. my mum has been reading up on this as she has 2 doberman's and they would tear u a new arsole if u broke in lol

We had a sign up and have now taken it down for that reason it dont cover us for insurance - its a grey area because of it being private property. Ivana and Butch gaurd our property and are roaming - they both do the job very differently but im preety sure no one would try getting around nearly 200lb of meaty dogs!? Odin is a cool fella - got huge feet!!! lol
