I think I'm hard pushed to choose now between this pic and my Spanish bulldog pic! - This one my just be my fav! I found it today... This is the most AMAZING pic of a Neapolitan mastiff i have ever seen - I can only imagine the work that has gone into this dog its incredible. I don't think pound for pound there is any dog that can match a Neo when it is conditioned like this they really are perfect. Im guessing that this dog is around 100lb - 120lb max of pure muscle!! This type of neo i think is prob extinct now - thanks to the poxy KC!! anyway for the record this is what they used to look like.....

The odd tussle that goes on between my dogs - particularly when we had the two mastiff the ears always seem too take the brunt of the play, and would always end up ripped or injured.
So i can imagine that on a working dogs they were a hindrance? - as with the tails on the working spaniels etc? I think it looks good too - but unless the dog is a true working dog i dont really see the point?
Beautiful pic would love to see More of this dog the angle of photo is bad and make him look a bit out of proportion - - lovely looking though!

I personally like dogs with cropped ears, some it dont suit especially if they have been butchered, but on the whole I can't see anything wrong in it, in Germany I think, I;ve seen in books Boxers, Danes, Dobies having cropped ears and all looking very smart dogs whether they are working or just cosmetic. Stupid British laws again eh.....
Bloody nice Am Staff Bip.

an american staffordshire is a show bred pit bull mate, bred more to a form than a function but still a good dog.
