Me and him are going to miss alot of stuff this year because my back is getting bad and I'm waiting for an op (well, results from a scan at the moment) so I won't be doing much with him until that's sorted but I'm keeping him fit by having him pull me on the bike. It's possible I won't see you all for a while but I promise I'll keep him as fit as possible.

Thank you Sehalani and Anton, he's a big boy and that's possibly why he's a slow developer and his shape is still changing, he should be 'finished' in about a year or so. There are areas of muscular development that he's lacking at the moment but as I say that will come in time.
He's an absolute pleasure to own, if I had a pound for every time someone told me how handsome he was I'd be a rich man, or maybe not in so much debt anyway lol. His character is great too, it's really nice to watch him play with other dogs with no aggression being shown and he's a clown too, he makes me laugh so much.
Was nice meeting you and Rommel too Anton, he's a cracker.

hope all goes well with your operation mate, I've said what i thought of him before and i haven't changed my mind!!! I bet when you walk down the street with him and you see other people with ebt's, they ask "whats he crossed with"? All you can do is smile politely with an inner smugness of one who knows better!!

hope all goes well with your operation mate, I've said what i thought of him before and i haven't changed my mind!!! I bet when you walk down the street with him and you see other people with ebt's, they ask "whats he crossed with"? All you can do is smile politely with an inner smugness of one who knows better!! Most people don't even recognise that he's anything different from a 'normal' Bull Terrier, all they say is 'isn't he tall!'. My back means that I can't do as much stuff with him as I'd like but he's doing well with biking, a little bushing and lamping and lots of short walks. I can't do as many shows and events as I would like to because standing for long periods ruins my back for days after so I'll just do the big events until it's better. I need to concentrate on stuff like jumping because I pushed him a little too far once or twice and he had bad falls which put him off a bit but we're back on track now, he's jumping really well and more importantly landing really well and enjoying it. I've only recently started him on the spring pole and he loves it which I'm quite surprised at, he very rarely shows any real aggression so I didn't think he'd take to it but he has, it allows him to blow off a little steam and allows me to train the 'leave' and 'stay' commands. His obedience training is coming on really slowly, he doesn't give a shit about pleasing me so I have had to change the way I do things and I'm a better owner for it. I won't pretend that he's an obedient dog but I'm working hard on it and he's getting there...he's really clever so it's just a matter of motivating him to do what I want him to. Sorry for rambling, he's my pride and joy and I could talk about him all day, I'm becoming a real bore

What a handsome dog. Sounds like you have a great animal on your hands there. And how nice to have a lad who'll play with the others without flying off the handle. I did identify ONE characteristic Brando shares with Sonny...his disobedience and desire only to please himself! Real cracker. Whilst still loving my own dog, I must admit to being envious of yours.

Alot of people have said to me that they want an Ingles and I always say to think about it very carefully, some are quite layed back and others are full-on mentalists (like Sonny). I would say that 99% of people wouldn't want a dog like him, he's very hard work. If you expect them to be like a Stafford you'd be in for a very big surprise. He's a big, strong, highly driven dog and with that comes big responsiblity, if he was dog aggressive then it would be a bit of a nightmare, he's not although for some bizzare reason he's not keen on Bulldogs. I must admit that I've struggled with him at times but like the difficult things in life he really is worth the effort...I may be overdoing it a bit but I should tell people that it's not a dog for everyone, they need ALOT of exercise, training and discipline.
