are KC staffords pure? are non-KC staffords mutts?
does certain body/ear style, color, height and weight guarantee pureness and or authentication for a certain breed?
what is a pure Staffordshire bull Terrier and is there such a thing?

i second that Ian. a shame really people talk so much about which dog is pure or not. theirs always is but others isnt. i'm happy with my linebred-kc reg'd mongrels/mutts. I like to know which stafford out there is pure?

I like to know which stafford out there is pure? i think all staffords would be better off with a little out-cross with closely related breeds, the gene pool is just to small within the show type, you have a situation where a dog becomes the latest c.c. (challenge certificate) record holder and ends up getting bred to every bitch available! i have had a few pure k.c. stafford bitches over the years and sadly was left very unimpressed with most of them, health problems, lack of spirit and lack of dynamism in general.

i must say, lately i have seen some very nice staffords, male and females from more athletic lines and may they long continue.

- This is what could probably safe the breed but the showbrigade(treehuggers) all they want is to breed dogs far from the staffords of yesteryears. holding on and breeding to healthier and capable staffords could and must be their 1st option to continue producing staffords and not frogs good for nothing, but unfortunately the money is in showing and breeding the bullfrogs that get upon the showring after the trophies
i often wonder why they dont get a yorkie or a poodle if they cannot handle the truth about the breed
