ya he can be he gets a bit dog aressive towords other male but he has got other male dog mates was thimking of gettin him nuetured but not sure it will work. also thinking of starting weight pullin as he is very strong on the lead think it would do him good?not to sure thou very good in the house loves the kids we have had him from 5 weeks his mum rejected the pups and the lad who had them didnt really no wot he has doing so i took him early thought he would be better wit me then them but he is know quite protective of us all not too keen on strangers he gets a bit grumpy but to every one he has known for a while he his a classic stafford breed and loves them always trying to play fight just a bit big now lol he his like dino out of the fintstones

Neuturing may work but so will obdience training. A dog pulling on a lead may not weightpull and a dog that dosen't pull on the lead maybe a good puller. There is a lot of info in the training section.
The guarding is def from the mastiff in him. How old is he Mickey?

he is 3 in feb he is very obediant most of the time will do all the tricks i am not sure weather he is just wanting to say hello and gettin excited but he is so big i think he imtimerdates alot of dogs he meets and they get defencive i took him around a lot of dogs all his life its been the last year gettin wores. neuturing is the last thing i wont to do but i cant find a bitch for him and his temperment is not right for stud really

I would be very surprised if Neutering would work - because of his age - the hormones have very very little to do with his reactions to other dogs now it has become set in him.... i think anyway. They only chance you have is training him - but dog aggression is very hard to train out of an adult dog. I believe if you you neuter him he will be threatened by any UN neutered male and some cases it can make the dog aggression worse - this is just our opinion and experience , it is always different wth other dogs. i think the only way the neutering works if done before 6 - 8 months so the testosterone is never at its height?

i agree wit that too there are a lot to think about its not to much of a problem to me i am resposeable and never let him off the lead around any other dog uless they are already good mates and never in a public place it is a same coz he is so soft wit every one he knows well just a big pup. do you think breeding him would chill him out abit and anit it bad for him to not breed and still have his bits ? i thought it gives them cancer wen there older? thanx mickey
