WOW!! What a day. This has been one of the best we have had here Imo. The weather was perfect, the dogs and owners were in top form. The day started with the A-frame contest, some great displays from all the dogs the better being, Dolly black, Rameses & Jasmine, a very comical attempt by Banjo a Boxer x Lab, he nearly got the idea in the end, Winston with his lazy way of coming down the frame by sliding down, but MJ stole the show with a score of 41 a new S.A.C.S record. Well done.
Then was the Agility course, which was great to watch, only a few fell over ;D some very funny runs both by dog and owner. Some dogs choosing to rather run through the jumps than over them & quite a few owners letting there dogs down by knocking the jumps over themselves!!
During the lunch break, A few dogs had a try on the high jump and took to it very well, Diego reaching 1.8meters, Dolly Black 1.7, Amber 1.6ish & a few others doing well. The high Jump looks like it will be a good event at the days to come.
Next was the Racing, the pups taking to it good, though a few still see people more interesting than the lure at the moment, though that will change soon. The running dogs showing all their speed and grace along the track. Tia being the quickest by a whisker even after taking a tumble at the end from going so fast, then run exactly the same time next, true working spirit. The overs running some good times, Winston could of waited till he finished his run to have a pee, but chose to stop half way losing valuable seconds ;D Misty seems to be gaining on the others now to, Maybe one to watch there. The unders were also running some good times, MJ, getting a headstart from his devious owner
was soon caught out, and had to rerun on 2nd run, this made no difference to the times. for record 1st run 9.35 2nd at least 2-3meters over the line 8.72 3rd 8.76. Also a few new pb's from a few of the dogs too which is always nice as it shows the owners have been doing their best and showing it trough the dogs perfromance. We also had 46 dogs entered, which is fantastic. Thank you all who made it, I enjoyed it, I hope you did too. Thanks to Shakka, Owen, Marek, Sam, Daryl, Shay, Tyler, Molly & Jade for all the help throughout the day especially from the kids at the end, helping to tidy all the rubbish away
