training a dog to jump?

Lennox my little cross wil jump anywere and everywere, but cant jump to high... where and india will only jump if theres something to jump to.. ie if i hold a toy/branch up a tree/wall/myself she will jump as high as she can.. but when i hold the toy out at arms lenght she will just ballance on her back legs tryin to get it.. but wont jump...

any tips on gettin her of the ground.. ?

take her somewhere with soft ground to jump and somwhere spacious misty wont jump in teh garden but out and babout shes a froggy.

jdone abit of work with her 2night when it cooled down abit.. shes starting to to little jumps.. when she did i gave lots of praise and a treat.. i think if i keep at it she'l get the idea..
