Firstly Thank you all so much for taking part in this event.
The weekend was one the best I have ever had in the dogs great atmosphere,
Great dogs and owners all enjoying themselves to the fullest.

Friday we was setting up in the rain trying to get as much done as possible
Thankfully it dried up long enough to get the tents up, then the competitors
started to turn up and get set up ready for the weekend also our good friends
from Holland turned up in the Sporting Stafford bus, thanks alot for coming over
and seeing what we do. After fish & chips and a good lot of doggy talk we hit the
hay at about 3-4am!! very much worse for wear!!lol


Saturday 18th April

We decided that the fairest way of seeing who would go 1st would be to draw
numbers from a bowl as no-one was willing to go 1st. This was the running order

Bike ride.
I got my distances wrong on this 2 laps was 1km but I feel this was still
more than enough, it was more of a test for the owners than the dogs many
will testify to that!! One person stuck out to me on this and that was Barb
who showed us all that age is but a number and rode a very respectable time
even going quicker than some of the younger fitter men!! Well done Barb you
should be very proud of yourself.

A-Frame.

Sonny, the Border Collie showed that he meant business on the frame by setting
a very strong pace from the start breaking his pb by doing 38, great going.
Also this was Rocky's 1st encounter with the frame as Jay entered less than
18hrs before the event and had no time to practice after scoring 0 we thought
it fair to lower the frame just for him to get used to it, there was a raptous
applause when he did go over all taken in good spirit.

Weightpull.
This was the highlight of the weekend for me. So many dogs pulled unbelievably
well many breaking pb's the best being Ch Abbey who pulled 41x her own body
weight, great going from a great little dog. Also Sabre done great considering
this was her 1st time and she is 8yrs old!! We started the WP at about 2.30
and finished up around 7.45 after this Rich the chef cooked up a lovely BBQ
washed down with a few more beers!! Cheers Rich

High jump.

This was a good event but next year there will be a couple of changes. Some
dogs taking to this very easily the best being Florrie who reached 1.800 meters
about 6ft great going considering this was the first time she has done this.

Obstacle course.

We had a few new jumps and a see-saw to make the course longer. I think the
course was around 180-200 long. Sonny showed this is one of his favourite
things, running a clear round, with every other dog picking up fouls along the

i think rocky is the real winner we dont have to pay for him for 3 sacs days lol the day we could make was a real good time im glad ive got involved with these days best thing ive ever done we will be at many more and my dad enjoyed it so much him and my mum want to start bringing the dobermans.
