Yeh ok Matt we get it big up the fabulous SACS dogs, im not really sure I care what group you wish them too be associated with but on the day Daisy's owners were treated exactly the same as everybody else, I hope they enjoyed the hospitality that was provided and were made to feel very welcome.
Lots of great dogs and bitches on the day, Daisy was my personal favorite, her owners were lovely people too, and she did indeed win the novice weight pull, Harry won the experienced weight pull, owners were asked if their dogs had pulled before and if they wanted to go in the novice or experienced class, no one can change the results, I hope everyone thinks they took the best dogs home with them regardless of placing.
The rail system is easy to pull on?? well if ya dont try it you will never know will you.
Over 1000 views to this thread, im sure the IKC are pleased so many people are interested in their show.
Some here have chosen to go off topic, not surprising...................

It is unfair to compare weight pulled at one event to weights pulled at another because there are so many variables (tyre pressure or resistance, gradient, surface dogs are on etc). Generally speaking, all other things being equal then it is easier to pull on the rail but a very slight difference in gradient can wipe out that advantage.
There were some very good dogs there and I'm sure they did very well under the circumstances they were presented with.

surely a profesional rail set up needs setting on level ground though dont they owen?this was not a knock on the dogs as any dog that will pull deserves respect.its just that a dog can pull more on rails was what i was getting at.

Well Matt as far as I could see I was bigging Daisy up she is a good bitch, the only difference is that I gave the bitch the credit she was due minus the politics and sly adverts for other events in a popular thread.

In the very unlikely event that both dogs were pulling on 100% level ground then it still would not be comparable as the surface they were pulling on would be slightly different and therefore the traction will be different. There's also the unknown factor of how much resistance the wheels on each system. No matter waht people say, no two weightpull events can be certified as being 100% equal. There is a remote possibility that they are equal but I always take weightpull results with a pinch of salt because of the variable circumstances.

I don't think this is about politics at all - for once!!!!
I think the point is why did she not win as she pulled the most weight pound for pound??
Regardless of her group she pulled the most percentage??

Prob Matt this is where I will get a warning or told to be nice and the regular posters who like to have a row get nowt...........
Anything competitive gets bitchy occasionally, aint that the way of the world, people misunderstood why some dogs were classed as novice and others were not, I explained what was misunderstood, thats wrong?

Don't feel like that Matt - You should feel OK to ask questions and post what you like.
There have been some good threads on here recently that have been a healthy debates and good reading. As usual there is always one who is hell bent on trouble making. Out of all we have seen on here to be honest this is the best one yet...... complaining about advertising a S.A.C.S day on the S.A.C.S board! madness??

had there been only one group and daisy was in it, then i would have carried on with harry, so who's to say who would have won? my group went first and harry was the only one left and then i was told that i had won both pound for pound and strongest overall. so i stopped him there!
