A word of warning!
Poppy spent the weekend in the vets, because she broke into the food bin....she ate and ate and ate and ate.... worse thing is she wouldnt have stoped if we hadnt clocked on to what happened, the food swelled inside her!
Basicly if we hadnt caught it when we did she could easily have died its was very very serious.
She was shaved up and ready to be cut open to get it out, it was that packed in and had swelled that much!!
We were terified, luckily they managed to get a tube in to flush her out, so after a long night of being sick she finaly recoverd...thank god
Easy thing to happen. I always soak the food befor to avoid this problem i just never realised how dangerous the dry food can be....particulary when around very greedy dogs - silly girl!
so just remeber put all dry food out of reach!!
