This is by no means gospel its just how i made mine and theres many other ways to do it. I used 4 inch screws galvanised so dont rust. and 1 3/4 inch screws. 2 x 4ft x 3ft 1/2 inch thick hardwood/hard board about 29-30 foot of 2 x 2 piece of carpet 3 hinges. no more nails galvanised chain and nails x 2 my mistake was not buying rust proof hinges but ill change them when needed. Make the frame from the 2 x 2 with the 4 inch screws fix the board with the smaller screws Make sure you drill wood first or you will splitt it my chains are removable and just hook over 2 nails feet cut at a slight angle no more nails totally optional for added streath I used these to fix my carpet as they knock right into the wood and leave nothing to hurt the dog's Set low for puppies A block of wood inserted when in use for the puppies saftey reason ...................................................................................

shakka is right, and when standing should be 46in high, if you get those two dimensions right then the angle or steepness will be right! if you follow what i mean.

make your sides 4ft 6ins long then put hinges on. stand it up and measure, when you get the right hight of 46ins then you can fix the bits of chain on to strengthen it. get my drift?

the proper dimensions are neither her nor there mate unless you intend coming to an i.k.c event just as long as its over 4 foot and 3 foot wide your ok.
