Hi all i was refered to this site after a little misunderstanding on "The Bullie Bar" where i made a thread about weight-pulling etc.. and it seems they all disagree and think i should just play fetch with my dog(s) but i was sent a kind email informing me about this site.. so here i am lol. I'm 20, i live in north lincolinshire(probs lightyears away from you lot with it been "Southern" staffs altho i maybe wrong was never good with maps lol) My dog is a English Bull terrier X Staf Bull Terrier Hes 14 This year, stil runs round like a pup tho lol We(read I) am going to be looking at gettin a New pup soon in the intetion at doing wieght pulls etc Anyway hes pics of my Benn  Doesnt like cameras to much lol     well thats him, whatcha think? ermm could anybody point me in the right direction to gettin started with training a new pup if/when i get one.. i know how to house train etc juts other stuff i dont kno how to do.. hi and welcome to forum your dog looks great at 14 training pup start work light and fun flirt pole and work up to harder as it grows nothing heavy or to hard for 1st year

He's gorgeous and in amazing shape for an old fella, keep up the good work. I love EBTxSBT's they make a really good dog. We have a few members on here that have really good weight pulling dogs, it's an event that needs the right training or you can end up with a dog that doesn't enjoy it or want to do it. There is a really good article on here about weight pulling, (can't remember where but I will find it and point you in the right direction) it's a very misunderstood sport and I'm not entirely surprised you got some ignorant veiws from people on other forums, you won't find that here . There are actually four different articles on weightpulling in the excercise section so there's quite a bit of reading there but it's all good advice.
