omg i can not belive what baker was just saying hes made me so angry argghhhh i think he was a bit miffed at being called the orchastrater of the worst piece of legistlation in history but still no need to take it out on us bald brawny tattooed council estate dwelling bully owners that sounded a bit  well i dont know i really dont kno how to take it but i know what to do with it the program is by the bbc yes well i think this could be a good oppertunity to have a say and not leave it go unanswerd if we email points of view @ pov@bbc.co.uk and give them our side if theres enough response our views may be aired as it seem s to me we all on here and many other bull breed forums seem to have very similar ideas on what we think of tha dda, dog licenses ,irresponsible owners (of any breed ) we are armed with american temprement test results,years of actual day in day out real life experiance of these types of dogs (unlike lord baker and in lord i mean ar** h***) and some very eloquent writters also it seem the media is turning too no devil dog slogans, finding out breed bfor labeling the dogs with the dreaded pit bull name even on this show the onus was on the owner not the dogs as was my dog is a weapon that wonderland 7 pups thing this could be a good way to get our voice heard and show that just because we love and respect and admire our beloved bull breeds were not all crack head gangsters terrorising the country with savage dogs what do u think guys |

Lord Baker came over as a ignorant moron. He knows nothing about the subject he seems to think is his area of expertise and his outrageous comments about Pit bulls being owned by bald, brawny, tattooed people who live on inner city council estates is pure ignorance and snobbery. No wonder the worst piece of legislation ever created came from such a 'man'. His excuse was that the legislation was never enforced as it was intended...the truth is that it was so badly worded in it's original guise that it had to have significant changes made in order for it to even function as a law. The DDA made the problem worse rather than better and innocent dogs and children died as a result. It's way past the time it was replaced with something fair and effective but above all it needs to be well thought out but as was said in the report don't expect anyone to bother trying to deal with it in the run up to an election.

I think baning certain dogs is really just stupid, as people will just keep them in secret and those that have them will breed for poorer temprament as thats what those sort of people want.
I love watching the american TV programmes and seeing the american staffies and pits on there, they look such lovely dogs. I have always been keener on the taller staffie types, but would be scared to own one incase it was siezed.
How many times do you see an old biddy with a horibble little snappy dog, but thats ok as its only small!?
When my rottie was attacked by a shit sue (sp?) that she went to say hi to as they were both off lead. She immediatley got blamed for attacking their dog when all she did was give him a quick shake, to tell him she was less them amused to be bitten. She had bite wounds, he just had slobber. The shit sue owner was on the phone to the police wanting them to come out immediatley and shoot our dog?!
The demonising of certain types of dog rather than the owner is really helping NOT!
