Past month or two lennox has been chewing his feet.. cant see it been out of bordom or anything like that as hes got free useage of his boomer ball throughout the day.. and walks etc.. i dont think its from a floor cleaner we use as it doesnt effect our other dog? he started doing it before we started feeding Full barf and he was cheapo kibble.. so i put it down to a reaction to the kibble but nearly 2months on full barf and hes still doing it.. at the mo we are looking at what we are feeding him and taking a few things out of his diet to see if its anything in that thats causing it.. some body mentioned it could be too much beef that we are feeding him.. anyway heres a pics of his feet Anybody got any ideas? Martin

They look quite sore, is it only the front feet he's chewing or all of them? Also where they grit and salt the icy roads and paths this is bad for dogs and if you have been walking where they have spread it you shoud wash your dogs feet when you get home. Cant see it being from feed, But as Vinny said best go down the vets.

The red/orange stain is from his saliva.... He def has a problem, obviously i am no expert but could be a number of things
1 - His diet - This sort of itchiness in feet, ears etc can come form an allergy to food - most common is beef, like i said to you before. The other one is yeast if diet contains lots if yeast normally the high grain foods it will produce yeast toxins which will build up in his body and make him itchy. Since he is on BARF its not a reaction to the yeast?? What maybe has happened is that the cheap food he was on before made him itchy and it has now become a habit - like us biting nails resulting in a psychological problem rather than a physical one???.
2 - Is boredom or stress IE like separation anxiety. Even if he has access to a boomer ball all day its not enough to keep him busy?? Its like leaving someone in the garden with a football, eventually he would get bored out of his mind? He might be stressed too what with the coming and going of frank it can unsettle dogs more than you realize.
But like the others say get him to vets as there is a big chance of a secondary infection in is paws from the licking.
Let us know how he gets on Martin. Good luck

a friends dog used to do something similar was due to b4 she was rescued as a breeding bitch the bleach ect caused the irritation then it continued in her new home due to habbit. so used to bath in malseb off the vets. never got rid of the stains from the saliva tho
our Shar-pei X also got this when he was young again a shar-pei thing they are prone to allergys due to their skin ect.
agree with whats been said, beef is a big allergen to dogs so may be right with that but th vets will prob be able to pin it down good luck

Mila gets a reaction like that between her toes (mainly her back feet) hers is down to harvest mites in the grass, obviously when winter/colder weather comes round they dissapear. May not be like my dogs but its a idea.
