never had this issue with any of my dogs b4 but my malinois has started with a iffy tum, had tests done which showed nothing conclusive. the next step was to knock him out and do endoscopy and biopsy, but my vet isnt wanting to knock him out for no reason, hes also not overly social so i have to be there to help pre med him and wake him up ect so they dont want to put him under unessisarry stress. anyway he lost weight but i think has gained a lil back hes in for a check soon so will know for sure. he is fed AG and healthy left overs meat veg ect i dont feed raw altho he was raised on it. i dont know enough about it nor like it too much as he is ill after having certain things. anyway he needs amino acids ect to help support his muscles and so on, but i dont think he is thriving as much as he could is there any supps out there you would recommend for this. he gets joint flex at the mo and thats about it dont have any really recent pics of him that are decent but heres a few from last yr to see his condition i dont think hes thriving as well as he could, so woundered if a supp may help thanks

Have you tried different brands of feed? There are a couple that don't suit my Bull Terrier as I think they're a bit too rich and give him the runs. He's fine now but it took a couple of different brands before he was 100%, unfortunately he's better with the expensive stuff.
You can give him a bit of a vitamin boost with Abidec vitamin drops for children and babies. I use it in small doses for both my two and I know people who use it for young, old and pregnant dogs. It's hard to know if they really benefit but it's a small dose and can't do any harm. You can buy it from Boots and health stores and just add a bit to his feed.
Have you had any blood tests done? If he's lacking in Iron or B vitamins then dessicated liver would be good.

yea we have done food elimination, bloods stool samples and nothing has come back with anything conclusive. all was normal. he could have just IBS lol but altho he lost weight he hasnt lost any more. he looks like hes gained actually but dont know till his appointment at vets. because of his less social side they dont want to put him under any more stress unless its needed. having even got him castrated yet as my vet said if we knock him out for tests might as well do it all together.
hes fine in himself full of energy, looks in great condition, shiny coat, great colour ect thats why they are woundering if its IBS or something similar. hes insured which helps. he just isnt thriving as much as he could i dont think, as how could he if hes got a iffy tum all time.
will deff try thoes thanks.
