As most of you know Sabre thought I would let you know that she is unwell at the moment. She has been to the vets this morning and has something going on in her head, Possibly an Aneurysm. She is all off balance and has had paralysis of her right side of her face. She is now on Steroids and Antibiotics for the next ten days with reassessment after this time to see if there is any improvement. I'm am keeping my fingers crossed that it is nothing too serious. The vet has said she is now to have no exercise of lead and to be treated like a little old lady and pampered which is exactly what I will be doing.

Give her a treat from me Yvette. She's such a lovely little dog and full of fight, I'm sure she'll be fine.

Thanks for all your wishes it means alot, She is my little gem and is the best rescue staffie I've had to date. Update is she has her appetite back and the paralaysis on her face has got slightly better, Bloody hard trying to keep her from doing too much though. She still wants to chase all the cats and leaping around which ends up with her falling over.

Update on Sabre. Good news Sabre is on the mend. She had her follow up appointment at the Vet's today and has been given a good prognosis. It seems that she had suffered a stroke so is still on Steroids for the next 10 days to be weaned off them. If she is not back to normal by the end of this course then the next stage will be send her for Blood tests and an MRI scan to make sure that she has no tumours anywhere. Vet seems to think that she will be fine. She still has a tilted head carriage and slight paralaysis to her right side of her face but balance is much better. I'm really hopefull that she will come right in time.
Thanks again for all you messages and see you all in March. Sabre may not be ok to compete by then but will definatly be coming along to watch. Yvette

That's great news, my neighbour's collie had a stroke a couple of years ago and it didn't look at all well but it's fine now and you'd wouldn't know that there was ever anything wrong.
