What you need to do is
get the dog chipped and a passport. Get the dog rabies vaccinated. After a minimum of 30 days get the dog blood tested for rabies antibodies. When you get a positive testresult, you can travel across the channel and back after a minimum of 6 months. When you do travel back you need to get your dog treated for ticks and tapeworms minimum 24 hours and maximum 48 hours before checking in for the way back to the uk. All this rules apply to travelling back to the uk. Going out has no restrictions. Your vet can take care of all of these. All things have to be recorded in the passport by your vet.
