Which pysical attributes of todays staffords 'of all types' do you feel require a new direction. no fighting, lets discuss

Firstly i would like to say i feel some of the dogs i see look extremely well conditioned are deemed so because the coat is thin or close fitting. This does show of the musculature but would do nothing to potect the dog. I would have no quarms in seeing a ruff or broken coat on a bull breed as surely this would hold no physical disadvantage and would have plenty of benefits. Also plenty of lose skin around the neck area would again be a positive. These things may require an out cross though, something else i feel needs discussing. Love to hear your replies, Neil.

Neil i would love to sit for hours in a country pub and talk dogs all day and night with you bud. Im not to clever at getting myself across to well on these computers so i dont bother most of the time so i look forward to that pint.....Some of the terrier and lurcher lads prefer a rough coat because it protects them from skin tears and thorns bardwire etc while working in the field...also protects from the elements rain cold etc.....

Well if you had tight skin and another dog grabbed it and shook it, it would have far worse implications to that of a dog with thick, loose skin, shaken in the same manner. I think we mistake good condition due to thin, tight poor skin alot. Fashion over function, pedalled by our short sightedness.
