How many times have you breed or studded your dogs. I personnaly dont feel theres any room for me to breed my future dogs due to the amount of dogs in rescue and the endless streams of pups out there. Some do have legitimate positions to breed, with proper lines and stock to use. Others just pump out piles of pups, through some misguided sense of godliness. I wonder the numbers of pups you have produced and your reasons why you feel these dog worthy to breed from. Cheers

you should only breed to keep stock back and to keep a bloodline going personally not to churn out litter after litter.I could of been expecting a litter on the ground as it happened by accident would of been a little tight but well bred but with the way things are and not wanting the stress of pups I paid for the termination jab and cost be £100 quid I think the worst offenders are people breeding the blue dogs this is not all breeders/ owners but im sure there are more adverts selling blue pups, but of all the people I have met with blue pups the majority seem to bang on about is breeding their bitch or studding there dog when older.Wether this is to claw back the big money they payed or the bullshit they was told that they are rare not sure ;D

I have not bred a litter in about 15 years and i don't think that i ever will again, there are just to many dogs out there i prefer to go to some one with a breeding program with aims and goals going on and give them support by having a dog of them, the dog that i have had here for nearly 13 years has never been used at stud either some times i think that it would of been nice to have some think back from him as he has been a top dog for my needs but there is a lot of different breeds out there that i would like to try and i am not going to live that long to have them all i wont one more big dog i hope that will take me in to my 50s and then some think smaller like a staff if we will be aloud to still have a fit type

I totally agree that there are too many pups and unwanted dogs out there at the moment and that you shouldn't just breed for no reason. Although I think that the people that compete with their dogs and have sound (in body and mind) dogs should breed to pass on these genes. If quality dogs are not bred from we will end up with very poor quality dogs in the UK, because the idiots out there that breed for money or no other reason than they want to will carry on because they don't care about the future of the breed.
I hope this makes sence (I've had to rush as I'm at work)

I have bred one litter and imo i feel i found great homes for them all, they are protected against kc breeding without my permission and exportation, and i feel the right two dogs were chosen to get the best from each. I also feel it worked exactly as we imagined in fact better and we have got everything we wanted. We were repeating the mating HOWEVER i have changed my mind as we wouldnt be keeping a pup this time and to me thats defeating what were trying to do. We will breed in the future but when were in a better position ourselfs and it proboblly wont be abbey but things can change. We have no plans to stud out Osiris.
