Really pissed off!
Found out that because of problems with the organisation (paperwork, staff etc) it will only be a "fun race" so there will be no timing at the event and it's more or less a get together and training day...training for what?
Sonny and I have been training for a year now ...yes, a year! and three weeks before the event it's basically called off because a year's notice is too short for them to get organised! Trying to get information out of them has been like trying to get blood out of a stone, seriously not happy.

I'm still debating whether to go or not. I was only really interested in seeing how he stacked up against Dogs bred for the purpose.

What a lame excuse how is a year to much of short notice for them?! Hopefully another event similar or the same pops up soon and you can both apply for that! Either way the hard work hasn't gone to waste as Evan having to wait for another event will make Sonny evan better with the extra training Chin up!

We both enjoy the training and he's in really good nick because of it so it's not a waste but it would be nice to test him properly.
The trouble is that almost all events are Siberian Husky only, there's a lot of snobbery about breeds in this sport.

Snobbery gets you know where in my books! They are proberly so up themselves as they are afraid of outside competition here a couple of years ago we had a Siberian Husky sled team race they too were up themselves (and very much at that you couldn't of fit your foot up) they wouldn't allow a Alaskan Malamute to compete?! In my eyes they are just afraid of the unknown!!
