By the tone i think we mean muscle condition, that we can influence by exercise. Soft muscle is not toned. Hard muscle is toned.

all muscle is hard its just weather it has fat over it or not that effcets how it feels.

Yep i know were singing off the same song sheet now. Cardio, strength and low weight high reps. I do think its worth mentioning you cant just diet without exercise and have good muscle tone. You may see the tone of the muscle but that does not mean its gonna be good. Not all muscle is hard it requires strength training.

If you really want a good food for toning then feed orijen. I've been feeding it for about 2 years its its great. Adult food has About 45% protein and 30% fat no grains. I have gone over to feeding the puppy to my bitch as it have 40% fat and 40% protein. Pound for pound the puppy food has more calories. It also contains 75% meat. Its the best there is and its cheaper than james wellbeloved, with that your paying top dollar for a better quality rice.
