WOW WOW WOW!!!!! Neil Sherlock, Ed & Noreen Reid & myself went to a Stafford show in Holland at the weekend. Ed & Noreen were judging. We arrived at Amsterdam at around 8am and then we was picked up by Frank & Martin, and was took to Franks house where we met his lovely wife and children, we then dropped our belongings off and then headed to the show venue to help set up the rings and some other jobs that we could help with. The venue is amazing, its called the dog centre, and it's just for dogs a bit like Dog borstal, kind of. We then went back to Franks for a BBQ and a few drinks, which went down well. The hospitality & friendliness of our hosts was amazing, after sinking a few of the local brew, eating lovely food and talking dogs, we hit the sack ready for the show in the morning. We was up by 6am and on the road shortly after. The show itself was for Staffords & Am Staffs but there were also a few other bullbreeds and terriers there aswell. We helped with the setting up of the racing ring and set up the lure machine which was a racing bike cut in 2 and on a continuous loop system, after a little messing about with it, as no-one had set this up before, we got it going. They had a proper timing system also which impressed us very much. The length of the run was around 40 meters, the quickest dogs of the day ran around the 4 second mark. Up to about 11am there was a steady stream of entries, all being very well cared for you could see that alot of the owners had put a lot of work into their dogs. I was told that there was around 180 entries for the show. The show it self was ran very well lots of helpers, including Neil & myself, we got a badge saying we was important!! We again met some serious dog men & women whom hopefully we shall be seeing again soon. It was nice to meet so many new people who really care for their dogs and look to keep the breeding true, and they all knew the history of their dogs which was great to hear about family members, some of whom we know. The athletic scene there is growing and now that APBT's are now legal as they proved the DDA dosen't work. I'm sure there will be even better dogs at the next event we go to. Here are some of the pics we took from the show Here's the link for all the other pics from the show. s205.photobucket.com/albums/bb166/southern-staffords/?albumview=slideshow

Some superb looking dogs there if a bit limited in the different breeds, I imagine that there will be lots of pits there next year though. Someone needs to show them how good the EBT can be, can't think who though lol. Love Frank's dogs, fantastic condition.

did u see franks Babs on the a frame No he didn't. We wanted to show it in the afternoon, but we got so much rain that we had to move the show indoors, and later back outdoors. Then everything was so wet, and time passed so quick, that we could not do that anymore.

Love Frank's dogs, fantastic condition. Thanks m8. But must say that only Babs was a bit in condition. And even she could have had some more training. But.....for her it does not matter, she is always nuts. I guess you are telling your friends that my Babs is crazy ;D ;D ;D ;D
