Hi,
I have not been on this site for quite some time. Some of you may remember me, I was the proud owner of Milo. After years of battling with Epilepsy we sadly had to put Milo to sleep a few months back. We will never forget him and he will always be in our hearts.
I am not looking to rush into anything. However, I am keeping my eyes open for future breedings of healthy, athletic Staffordshire pups.
If anybody knows of any future breedings coming up could you please let me know.
Regards.
Daniel.

Cheers mate. Just out of interest, do any of you guys know of any other staffs out there who have epilepsy? A terrible thing for any dog to live with, it destroyed his life from 8 months old, poor boy.
Is there any reputable breeders on this site then mate?

Hi Daniel24, I had a Rottie that had epilepsy. Used to have terrible fits every 4 months or so. The vet said to leave it as he was usually back to himself 4 to 8 hours after. However, one time ( in winter and in the dark!) he had a fit and ran 2 miles away and was sitting in the road. My neighbour phoned me and when I went to get the dog, I don't think he knew who I was or where he was or anything. That night he was fitting all the time and I lay beside him to keep him company. First thing, we went to the vet and got him onto tablets. However, he still had regular fits every 4 months or so , then they stopped. After a while,we gradually took him of the tablets too. He lived to 10. He started fits approx 3, and stopped approx 7 years old. When he took a fit in the house, he would hit the ground, and fit like a human. When he was outside he would run like a madman and bang into anything in the way. It was terrible to witness. My condolences. cheers,Mike

very disturbing to witness a dog have a full blown seizure. My boy used to have at least one a month, sometimes 5 per week. No more suffering for him now. R.I.P Milo we will always love you boy.
