Hi, I'm lucy, I'm 22, currently living in Swindon. I have an 18month old SBT called Sasha.... (pic at six months) I'd love to attend all the shows and events with her, but as I don't drive, travelling halfway across the UK can be tricky (I have to talk nicely to parents lol). As I'm a total novice, I'm sure you'll all be able to help me out with training advice to get the best out of her. Anyway, looking forward to speaking to everyone. Thanks. Lucy + Sash. x (apologies if there are two identical intros, computer crashed when I posted).

Hi Lucy, Welcome to the S.A.C.S forum. Sash is a very nice looking bitch. It's a shame they discourage black & tans in the show world for Staffords. Personally I love the colour. Not many of them about. I know of Gr Ch Holsten from Cosmos and have seen a site on piczo where they had some tri-colours. What type of training were you looking for??

hello, shes a lovely little staffie. lee i beleive the blank and tan coloured dogs are discouraged because the gene is stronger then that of the common staffie colours, so like rottweilers and dobermans all staffs would evntually be black and tan. So when black and tan staffs were born they used to cull them, but they dont do that anymore which is why a few are starting to appear.

Hello Lucy, Sasha's a lovely looking girl. I used to have a neighbour with a doberman that had the same colouring, more of a blue and tan than black and tan, nowt wrong with them as far as I'm concerned, it looks great. She's got a very nice frame on her and at 18 months it's about the time that you can start doing some fitness work with her if that's what you want to do. Welcome to the S.A.C.S forum.

Thanks for the warm welcome, I'm looking to begin building up her fitness soon. She is a very high energy dog and lives to be out and about and active, so I think she would really enjoy it. We are beginning more agility training now and she loves it, hoping to attempt flyball in the autumn, which could be interesting!
Sash is my first staff, well first dog really, and I have no clue where to start with fitness training really. Given that Sash would happily keep running until she dropped, I want to have some idea of what I'm doing before I start.
I think the only reason I ended up getting her was because most people considered the colouring undesirable. It was just her brother and her with these colours (the rest were solid blue), and they were the last to go of the litter, lucky me I say lol although I have given up telling people she's a staff, most people insist she must be cross rottie!
Thanks again. Lucy.

I agree with JJ ....very lucky.....tri-colours are rare! Its because theyre rare that people think they must be crossed with a rottweiller!
