Intro from new member steve

Hi there,
I was just browsing through the net when I came upon this great website/forum. I am a staffy enthusiast I love the dog`s in fact I admire all the sporting breeds, however I own Johnson Bulldogs Male and Female. I have been involved with sporting dogs for many years I started off with APBT sorrels dogs way back in the late 80`s 9 in total great dogs, I am a big fan of weight pull events, in the next two to three year I will be out competing with my own dogs as a serious contender, personal protection, shutzhund and french ring sports are my passion in the near future I will be putting on some demonstrations of Real world k9 protection. But currently I am involved in setting up my canine nutritional business hear in the UK I have been mostly in the States over the past year and a half so I am a little out of touch. Hello Steve sounds like you have a lot of knowledge with the dogs. Whats french ring? I was at a PitBull show in Czech and they had protection demos which were unbelievable but I thought what people would think over here "you are training that dog to bite etc etc" Where abouts you based?

Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome, I apologize for responding sooner, I will post pictures of my dogs shortly, I am a little out of touch with what has been going on in the UK as far as sporting events but I am back to stay now in the UK and plan to get fully involved in both competitions and helping sporting dog owners reach new levels of health and performance with their dogs. French ring sport is a competitive k9 protection sport popular all over Europe and America, bite work, tracking, obedience, that sort of thing but it very strict dogs must be very clear on the task in hand and act on command for points. APBTs are where my heart lies I truley love all of them, I have had the opportunity to be in the presence of some great dogs, in terms of competitive dog sport like SHUTZHUND they can blow all other breeds out of the water but they keep on being ommitted from competition in the STATES so REAL WORLD PROTECTION CLUBS have emerged which dont discriminate and they provide the right platform for such a breed to show his real tallents. Many of my friends are members of the ADBA who have some great dogs both game bred and show dogs, although I am not a fan of the BIG BLUE THING which has started to emerge, dont get me started on this. ;D
