Hi! My name is Zoe. I found your forum while researching SBT's so I thought I'd sign up. I have owned multiple American Pit Bull Terriers over the past 16 years as well as being involved in rescue for the past few years. I've had the pleasure of having multiple breeds and mixes stay with me over the years from "pit bulls", staffies, American Bulldogs, Dogos, etc... and look forward to sometime in the near future owning a SBT. ;D

Thank you so much for the welcome! I'm from British Columbia, Canada. I was so involved yesterday checking things out here, I didn't quite explain my interest with your forum, besides all the wonderful dogs obviously! lol I have always been very active with my dogs "unofficially" so to speak, meaning we have never been involved in organized sports but always enjoyed the many fun things the breed can do, but I recently purchased my first registered APBT with the plan of not only showing her, but getting some working titles on her. To make a really long story short, my five year old daughter has Cystic Fibrosis and has gotten sick off of the dogs twice so we decided it was safer to keep our crew essentially "house dogs" as the show/work world may be to risky for our special needs house for fear of the dogs catching a bug at a show or even Raven picking something up as she wanted very badly to junior handle as well as be involved in agility with her. We are not ones to be beaten, even by as horrible a foe as Cystic Fibrosis, so we have decided that we will create our own "sport yard" for the dogs and kids to enjoy! I was hoping I could get some ideas here of what else we can add to the roster of fun things to do with our crew! It is so good to see people working their dogs!

Good to have you on board, all the best with your daughter! Right on. I live in Surrey myself, although the house I rent is up for sale so I could be moving to another city. It can be tricky finding a place here for dogs, so you pretty well have to take what you can get! lol Thanx again for all the wonderful welcomes!
