I thought I'd share some pictures now of my girls that have passed on.
This is Venus, my first girl, my heart dog, my best friend. She passed away at 15 years old this past winter. I got Venus at 3 1/2 weeks old an believe it or not, I was her second owner. Obviously not a good start but she turned out AMAZING. She had so much toy and food drive, you could train this girl to do anything. I really regret not getting her involved in some sport work as she would have thrived at it. Instead she spent her life entertaining everyone that loved her with her crazy antics. She passed peacefully at home with her loved ones at her side.
This is Marz, Venus' cousin. She was the first girl that we lost. She had bone cancer and passed a year before Venus at 12. She was just the coolest girl in the world even though she wasn't the prettiest! lol Everyone always thought she was a male, a mix or mean looking and she was none of the above! lol She was so outgoing and loved everyone she met like they were long lost best friends! I can't say enough good things about this girl. She changed so many peoples minds about the breed. Truely a breed ambassador even if she wasn't winning any beauty contests! lol
And last but not least, Nyx. Nyx, like Tank, came to stay with us at three years old. Similar situation with Tank, irresponsible handling was putting her life at risk so her owner surrendered her to us. With a little bit of socializing and retraining, she was what she should be and we were so happy that she joined our family. She passed just a month before Venus, on the way to the vet, a month shy of turning 14.
